South Africa accelerates towards new energy vehicles and associated infrastructure
South Africa is accelerating towards a new era of motoring as demand for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) continues to grow. The term NEV encompasses several forms of lower emission vehicles, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), which run entirely on electricity, and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), which combine an electric motor and rechargeable battery with a conventional engine.
